The service
Safety first, always
Trauma counseling helps individuals work through distressing memories and their aftershocks — flashbacks, numbness, sleeplessness, sudden fear — using proven trauma-informed methods. We stabilize first, process second, and you control what is touched and when.
Whether the wound is recent or decades old, healing is possible. You never have to retell everything at once.
What's included
A steady path through hard terrain
- Grounding and stabilization skills before any memory work begins
- Gradual, paced processing using trauma-focused CBT and narrative methods
- Body-aware techniques for sleep, tension and startle responses
- A relapse-prevention plan so gains hold after sessions end
The process
Healing in three careful phases
Stabilize
We build safety and coping tools first — breathing, grounding and sleep routines — so daily life feels manageable.
Process
At your pace, we gently revisit what happened and loosen its grip, turning raw memory into a story you can hold.
Reconnect
We rebuild trust, relationships and routines, so the future feels open rather than overshadowed by the past.

Trauma counseling questions

Temporary waves of feeling are normal and we plan for them together, with grounding tools and between-session support so you are never left alone with it.
Yes, when it would help. With your consent we can hold joint sessions to explain trauma responses to loved ones and agree on how they can support you.
